Oil on canvas laid down on panel Diameter of the painting: 40 cm Dimensions of the panel: 63 x 62 cm Signed and dated lower right: TOYEN 1953   Provenance: the collection of Charles Estienne in Brest, France   Exhibited: - "Toyen", Galerie A l'Etoile scellée, Paris du 5 and 30 May 1953, exhibited under No 13 - MBA Brest, "L'Aventure de l'Art abstrait" by Charles Estinne critique d'Art des années 50-2011, reproduced on page 84   Reproduced: - the painting is reproduced in "Toyen la singuliere" by director Christine Ferrand from 2015   The picture is requested by the National Gallery in Prague for the exhibition "Bonjour Monsieur Gauguin, Czech Artists and Bretagne 1850-1950". The exhibition will take place in Bretagne from June to October 2018 and then will be moved to the National Gallery in Prague, where it will be available from October 2018 to November 2018.   Consulted with Georges Goldfayn (a close friend of Toyen, who traveled to Normandy and Bretagne with her, and Toyen often asked him for an advice on naming her paintings) said to the painting: "I remember on it very well, it is one of the prettiest paintings of Toyen.
